Hexagonal Pagoda Form Brass Lantern

Circa 1940
A large vintage brass lantern with a swept-up pagoda form body in its original age-darkened finish. The tapered hexagon frame has pierced details above and below, including a teardrop frieze and the motif of curved panels meeting in points at the edges carries throughout the design. Glazed with clear glass panels, the lantern has a hinged door, providing access to the six lights in the center of this ceiling fixture.
