Mirrorback sconces

Circa 1890
A pair of palace scale, seven-light bronze sconces, mounted to shield form, hand-silvered, beveled mirrors. The frames are detailed with acanthus leaves, C-scrolls, gadroons and reeding and are dressed with crystal bobeches, beaded chains, pears and pendalogues. With European foundry marks; recently from a Westchester, NY estate. Due to the antique nature of this fixture, there may be some nicks or imperfections in the glass.
