Shield back sconces

Circa 1910
A pair of sconces in bronze which retain a beautiful brown-gold patina. The backplates are shield form with foliate details. The arms are curving, fluted, and held in leafy ferrules. The bobeches have reed and ribbon edging above floral, berried garlands. The cups are detailed in an elongated leaf pattern. Attributed to the maker E. F. Caldwell.
