The memory of the pulled optics are fixed on the surface of each handblown crystal globe: seventeen pinches, deftly sculpted while the glass is freshly molten and then inflated from within. These points form a motif reminiscent of nature’s bristly patterns, like those seen on nettles or agave. Each unique globe is affixed to a simple linear handmade solid brass frame.
