Scofield Acanthus

Remains Lighting Company is proud to represent Scofield Lighting, a maker specializing in 17th-19th C. American and European lighting designs from original oil, candle, and gas fixtures. Scofield uses heirloom quality materials and old-world craftsmanship to create authentic and timeless lighting. The collection combines historic lighting designs with modern technology in each hand-crafted piece.

The company was founded in 1974 in Chester, CT, by Richard D. Scofield, who spent many years studying the early American lighting in the museum collections in Old Sturbridge Village and Historic Deerfield, Massachusetts. The intricate designs of historic lighting inspired Scofield's collection of reproduction lighting fixtures and original fixtures with classic motifs. Scofield Lighting is now fabricated in Pennsylvania by Heritage Metalworks.
