A pair of carved marble and gilt bronze column torchieres with alabaster lenses. Reputedly rescued from long slumber in a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania bank storeroom. A difficult case to attribute, but very likely either Sterling Bronze or E. F. Caldwell as strikingly similar models exist in Remains private archives and in the public archives of the Smithsonian.
